I pulled together a board of inspiration images and used it to determine the focus of the illustration. I then explored foliage from El Salvador to incorporate.

Process

First, I explored ideating through composition explorations. Upon deciding on a composition, I experimented with value and color studies. Before starting the final piece, I refined the sketch with a final linework drawing.
